Summer was coming to end in the Frigid Empire and the air crisp and cold with the hints of light snow coming down. some of the birds that stay here for the summer fly off and some stay like a snowy owl who look around browns white landscape for a meal like a snowy rabbit but all it saw where two wyrevns and a three dragons and no meal here. The lash green grass was now gone with little to no planet life on the ground and just dirt and stones with the hint of white where the snow was building up. Lakes now freeze and some of the open sea water freezing with ice sheets. The seals stay all year round with all the fat and blubber to keep them warm in the coming cold months. That seem to lazily sleep on the ice sheets not a care in the world what was going on around them until the sound woke some of the seals up looking over to see dragons breaking the ice and give them snort and lay there heads back down.

Hegna slams down on the ice to make a hole and the ice breaks as she does this and make it a bit bigger for her, Her aunt and Flidais to get in and she stops to see that the other two Valeriya and Ravenna had copied what she did.

"So what are we fishing for today?" Ravenna asked as she helped make the hole bigger.

"Some big big carbs. I hear that it gets big here in the Frigid Empire so why not grab a few before we go off hunting." Flidais smiled.

"Carbs?" Valeriya said in a low voice. "That's easier than the fish or seals."

Fiadh chuckles as she smiles. "Yes but watch out. The carbs here have claws that can pinch and that can hurt a lot. I myself have been pinch many times so you have to be careful.” She gave the ravager a smile that was warm and friendly.

Valeriya looks over the fluffy warden to see no scars on her but maybe faint scaring but still.

Flidais shakes her head at the warden.  "The carbs here can and will fight back is what Fiadh is saying."  She then dived down into the water and it was a lot colder now then in the summer.  She looked back to see if the others had followed her.

Hegna followed her in and shook her body from how cold the water was but as long as she kept moving she would stay warm.

Fiadh followed in after her niece.  She almost seems like a polar bear with her fluffy body.

Ravenna and Valeriya followed the three now. that both looked around and saw how dark the water was getting.

As the five went down the water got dark but colder too.  not much live in the cold water but few creatures did live down here in the deep cold water was food for them all.

Fiadh saw a greenland shark slowly swimming by her and the others. She then looked to see the sea bed just below them and saw movement and then saw the carb.  No it was more than one but a lot.  

Valeriya stops to see so many carbs in one spot as she blinks.  That can’t be too hard to grab and leave with somes so she swam down to try and grab one but had to pull back her claws as many claws came out to pinch her. 

  Ravenna came swaming down at the carbs and used her tail to    sweep them back from Valeriya as she grabbed a few in her mouth and swam back up for air.  She felt the carbs grabbing her fur and even pulling on it and she shook her head growling. She tosses them onto the ice and heads back down. 

Flidais watches all that but looks at Hegna and her aunt Fiadh using a net to catch the carbs with but something tells her it may not work. 

Hegna looks back to see the net that where using was cut up and none other than the carbs that did it.  So much for the net idea she thought to herself as she looked at her aunt. 

Fiadh flashes her grin and has an idea as she points back up for air and for all of them to go back up for air. 

All that got back on the ice and caught their breaths from holding them and shook out the water from their feathers and fur. 

“So does anyone here got ice breath?” Fiadh asked, looking at each. 

Flidais nodded. “I do and you have” wait she thought. “Ohhh I could use my ice breath to freeze the carbs and we can grab them more safely without getting pinched by their claws.” she nodded. 

“You know that is a good idea.” Ravenna nodded. “We could stop some of the carbs by blind siding them with luster breath and then Flidais come in with ice breath and freeze them into ice cubes. I like this idea.” she looked over at Valeriya. 

Valeriya too was nodding her head but did not say anything.  It was a good idea with how big some of the carbs were but how would the others use their luster breath under water? She shyly spoke up. “How can you use your breath underwater?” She looked at them all. 

Hegna looks at them. “You know she got a point.” She looked at her friend and aunt.   

Flidais looks at her. “We can and I kind of did it before.” she smiled. 

“Will who got the luster breath?  We got a light show for the carbs.” Fiadh put her claws up and she saw Ravenna put her claws up. “It looks like us two.” she said. 

Hegna looked at her. “And how will we know to go down?” she asked.  

Ravenna looks at Hegna. “When there is no light show, Flidais will catch the shunned carbs in icy blocks.” She jumped right back into the water and swam back to where all the carbs were as she saw them go on guard mode and their claws snapping the air. 

Fiadh was right behind her and came up beside her seeing how the carbs were acting but looked at Ravenna and nodded. 

Both use their luster breath at the ice that beams back down in a dizzy light of colours that had all the carbs staring shunned and not moving one bit other than the sea water moving them. It was a show of rainbow colours and when both stop using their breaths that wait to see if the carbs were still shunned and that were. 

Flidais dove down now seeing the light show was over and used her ice breath to freeze some of the carbs into ice blocks with some of their legs or even claws poking out. She grinned seeing this idea worked like a charm. 

 Valeriya grabs hold of one block of frozen ice with carbs and uses her other set of wings to help her get back up where she plops the ice block on the sea ice.  Shaking out the water from her coat and looking back to see Ravenna with one in her claws and throwing it beside Valeriya and watched as it did not break. 

Hegna with Fiadh help got her block up on the sea ice.  When Hegna was about to thank her she was back down in the water but saw her coming back up with Flidais and her ice block. 

The five took their catch to a safe spot to have some carbs for lunch but they had to wait for the ice to melt a bit before eating their meal.
