Originally a gift to his rider, Snow has become a graceful bodyguard of sorts to Gadreel whom he protects at all costs. While he's capable of speech via telepathy he's rather quiet and normally has very little to say.  Perhaps he's one of many who thinks that actions speak louder than words.
