Gecko is a bit of a shy creature, not liking sudden confrontation but also not being afraid to fight creatures twice her size if she is directly provoked. Or if Vaelte calls for her to fight, although he rarely does so.

Despite their rocky start, Vaelte and Gecko garnered a positive relationship as they found that neither of them particularly wanted to bother eachother. They just had nowhere else to go. She often performed threatening  displays whenever Vaelte entered the barn to retrieve some of his items, but when she noticed that he only wanted to remove his own items from the barn, she stopped. The understanding of a peaceful surrendering of the barn was reached when Vaelte put some work into repairing the damaged parts of the building.

At some point another wyvern, Fritter, had moved into her barn. The kindness that Vaelte showed her was enough for her to decide to let a new friend live with them. (Much to Vaelte's dismay when he returned home and another dragon had settled in)
