Reaper is not one any living thing can just approach. He is cunning, powerful, and will stop at nothing to get what he wants...even if it results in another beings' demise. He considers these just "small sacrifices" for his twisted version of a "greater good"... which really only is "good" for him in the end.

Any "friendships" he forms with others are more just distant alliances, and he will only tolerate others if the relationship benefits him in some way. Even then this doesn't stop him from turning on them at the drop of a hat.

Some even say he's resorted to cannabalism.

Don't trust him. Ever.

History

Nobody knows where exactly Reaper came from, or why he is the way he is, but he was begrudgingly taken in by a family who had too much sympathy for him. More than, what turned out, he deserved.

He relentlessly bullied other young dragons, including his adopted siblings. He would terrorize them just to get more food and attention from the adults. This resulted in him growing rapidly, and being even bigger and stronger than others his age. It became a vicious cycle.

Yet, they continued to care for him. Why? Who knows. Fear of retaliation, being too kind, we will never know.

Reaper refuses to talk of his past and rumor has it... well, nobody has ever seen or heard from his family since he grew big enough to fully fend for himself.
