Invictus was an aberrant egg picked up from the wild and raised for arena fighting- essentially like an illegal underground cage fight, but very much not underground; the local government simply turns a blind eye to it.
He escaped along with other arena fighters into the wild and is now integrating into a wild dragon flight.
A bit gruff and crass, for lack of a better word, but also really sarcasctic and done with everyone on a daily basis. He's got a bit of a sore spot in regards to not knowing his heritage.
The magical flames on him can be controlled slightly, they are the physical manifestation of his aberrant status and when he experiences strong emotions they tend to flare up. He has less control of it during that time and it automatically attempts to defend him against threats.
